Although we do not have a view of the Flatiron where we are here in Brooklyn, the view from our window is very much the same this February morning as it was 115+ winters ago. Wherever you are, stay safe and warm.

The Strawfoot 
We had one of our rare all day long deep snows here in Texas this January just finished. It snowed all day one Sunday. It stayed cold and it hung around , slowly melting over the next few days. I don’t think I would like living where it hangs around for months.Late February is when we usually begin to see signs of Spring down here.
My favorite time of year when I lived in Texas was late February – early March, when the wildflowers started to come out.
